Questions you probably have.
Do I keep ownership of my lyrics?+
Yes, absolutely. Your original lyrics remain yours. I do not claim any ownership of your words.
What about the AI-generated music?+
The sketches are produced using Suno’s paid commercial tier and remain subject to Suno’s terms. They are creative sketches and demos—not guaranteed clean-rights master recordings for label, publisher or sync licensing.
Can I release or share the sketches?+
You can share them for personal, creative and promotional purposes. For a commercial release or sync use, review the platform’s current terms and consider using the sketch as a brief for a human producer.
What if I only have a rough idea?+
That is fine. Send a rough verse, chorus idea, poem or voice-note transcription. The rougher the starting point, the more useful the diagnosis can be.
Do you write the lyrics for me?+
No. Song Sketchpad is built around lyrics you have already written. If you want lyric collaboration, that is a separate conversation.
What genres do you work in?+
I am most comfortable with pop, folk, country, indie and lo-fi, but I will explore most genres. Tell me what you have in mind.
What if I hate all three sketches?+
One revision round is included if the overall direction feels completely wrong. I want you to leave with something useful.
Can I submit copyrighted lyrics?+
Only submit lyrics you wrote and fully control. I will not accept copied work, close imitation of a living artist, or anything that creates obvious rights issues.
Rights & ethics
A sketchpad, not a replacement band.
Song Sketchpad uses AI music tools to produce song sketches. The AI does not write your lyrics—you do. The AI is the studio house band: it plays what I direct it to play, based on your words and my creative judgement.
The sketches are a creative starting point, not a substitute for a human singer, real band or professional studio recording. If your goal is a commercially released or sync-licensed master with clean professional rights, use the sketch as a brief and take it to a human musician or producer.

I created Song Sketchpad because a lot of people have great lyrics sitting in notebooks and voice memos and never get to hear what they could become. The barrier is not talent. It is access: no band, no budget, no producer, no way in.
This is a way in. A low-cost, honest, human-guided creative starting point. I hope it is useful.
